Eleanor was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Rockwell City, Iowa, and was adopted by Emmet and Lucy Hoge of Whittier, Iowa. She married Donald Clark on Feb. 23, 1940, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She and Scoop farmed together until retiring in 1992 when they moved to Anamosa. She loved living on the farm and being a farmer's wife.
She loved to cook and there were countless wonderful meals around her table as many family events were celebrated. Quilting was one of her retirement passions and all of the family members keep warm and remember her when they wrap up in one of her beautiful warm blankets.
