Clark, Dorothy W.
QUASQUETON - Dorothy W. Clark, 97, of Independence, formerly of Quasqueton, died Sunday morning, Sept. 19, 2010, at the Buchanan County Long Term Care Center in Independence following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Church, Quasqueton, with the Rev. Kevin Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Quasqueton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Quasqueton, and from 9 a.m. to services Tuesday at the church.
Dorothy was born March 3, 1913, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Benjamin and Adella (Turner) Wade. She attended the Des Moines Schools, Des Moines, and graduated from the Quasqueton Consolidated High School in 1931. On Nov. 22, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond M. Clark in Iowa City. The family made their home in Quasqueton.
She is survived by five children, Robert W. (Donna) Clark and Arthur L. (Shirley) Clark, Quasqueton, John S. (Patti) Clark and Wayne Clark, Oelwein, and Denise R. (Tom Burke) Clark-Burke, Independence; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
