March 16, 2023, Clarissa "Cookie" Maker received her wings after a battle with liver disease.
She was the second oldest of nine children. Her dream as a child was to grow up to be a good mom to four kids. She achieved her dream and then some. She parented more than just her biological kids; she was a parent to anyone who needed one. Her heart was huge; she always had enough love for more. When you spoke to her you felt as if you were the only person that mattered to her. She listened so intently you could feel her love for you.
She married Terry Maker in August of 1985 and gained two more children. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Clarissa's wishes, she will not have funeral services. She had a going away party disguised as a birthday party last September and said it was the best gift she ever received. She asked that we thank everyone who was able to attend.
Her passing leaves a hole in many lives but she is in heaven dancing and singing, keeping the party going until we join her again.
