CLARENCE ARTHUR SERBOUSEK

Clarence Arthur Serbousek, 90, of North Liberty, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
Clarence was born June 7, 1927, in Shueyville, Iowa, to Benjamin and Adeline Serbousek. Clarence met the love of his life, Willa Ramona Joiner, and married her in Marianna, Fla., in 1952. Clarence and Ramona moved to Shueyville, Iowa, and raised three children together. Clarence was a farmer and spent many years with Proctor & Gamble as a stockroom clerk. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, and volunteered for over 20 years at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. His family will remember his smile, his laugh, and a light-hearted, happy way of life.
Survivors include his daughters, Denise (Rick Berndt) Wheatley of Shueyville, Iowa, and Deena (Terry) Schroeder of Yorkville, Ill.; son, Daniel Serbousek of Shueyville, Iowa; grandchildren, Corey Schroeder, Adria Reif, Joel Serbousek, Tera Serbousek, Matt Serbousek, Jeff Serbousek, Dustin Wheatley and Derek Wheatley; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, and great-grandson, Scotti Reif.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Shueyville United Methodist Church. Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with a luncheon immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will go to the American Heart Association.
