Clarence L. "Hop" Funk, 64, of Iowa City, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. A time of sharing and stories will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to cancer research at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Research Center at UIHC or the American Diabetes Association.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; sons, Matt Funk and Josh Funk (Rachel), all of Iowa City; stepdaughter, Heather Wyjack (Tom) of Solon; grandchildren, Rylee Funk, who has a little brother or sister on the way, and Adia and Ashten Wyjack; brother, Ken Funk (Deb) of Iowa City; sisters, Gloria Kelley and Ruth Allender (Pat), all of Iowa City; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Mary Barnett (Jim) of Fort Madison; sister-in-law, Anita Funk of Iowa City; and the family cocker spaniel, Joe Cocker.
