Clara May Lindsey Septer, 90, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Heritage Specialty Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established.
Clara is survived by her children, Marjorie Spicka (Charles) of Denver, Colo., Sue Ludwick (Chris) of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Robert Lindsey (Carol) of Marengo, Martha Kiecksee (Paul) of Swisher and Peggy Moomey of Williamsburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia Layton (Bill) of Marion, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Birdie Lawhorn Nedham; her husbands, John Robert Lindsey and Harold Septer; and a son, Roger K. Lindsey, in 2012.
