Clapp, Sheri S.
Sheri S. Clapp, 48, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. A funeral service celebrating Sheri's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Cedar Memorial's certified celebrant, Julie Freese, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Survivors include her significant other, Jeff Martin; and brothers, Randy (Sue) Clapp of Cedar Rapids, and Kevin (Melissa) Clapp of Hiawatha.
Also surviving are two nephews, two nieces, a great-niece and great-nephew and her two canine companions, Floyd and Storm.
Sheri was preceded in death by her parents.
Sheri Sue Clapp was born Nov. 10, 1963, the daughter of Robert and Jeanette (Brown) Clapp. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1982 and Hamilton Business College in 1986. Sheri worked as a medical transcriptionist at St. Luke's Hospital for 23 years and then the Abbe Center the last six months. She enjoyed spending time with Jeff, her family and especially her dogs. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
