Cirkl, Patricia A.

Patricia A. Cirkl, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Nov. 10, 2010, at Living Center West following a short illness. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. David Grandon will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are her children, Jeff Cirkl of Columbia, Mo., Martin Cirkl of Cedar Rapids and Cindy Wolfe and husband Steve of Urbana; her mother, Dorothy Emery and husband Joel of California; her sister, Judy Paul and husband Bob of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Joel Emery and wife Bo of Cedar Rapids; and her grandchildren, Charles Cirkl of Miami, Fla., Melissa Cirkl of Amana, Erin Cirkl of Columbia, Mo., and Antonia Wolfe of Urbana.

She was preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Debra; and her brother, John Brody.

Patricia Ann Cirkl was born Nov. 23, 1937, in Urbana, Iowa, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Hauser) Brody. She was united in marriage to Larry Cirkl in 1958 in Cedar Rapids; they were later divorced. She was employed for several years in assembly at Square D and was a proud member of the Teamsters. She also had previously been involved at the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed gardening and was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. Above all, her greatest enjoyment was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. 

She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Patricia's honor.
