Cindy Lou (Kimm) Stoddard, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Monday and 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, also at the church.
Cindy was born on July 29, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Douglas and Beverly (Frantz) Kimm. She graduated from Benton Community High School in 1976. On April 22, 1978, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, James Stoddard, at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown. Cindy’s greatest passion in life was her family. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and a “Granny”. She enjoyed taking her entire family on Caribbean cruises and loved watching her grandchildren’s faces as they experienced the new opportunities, she provided them by travelling the world together.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 46 years, James; her children, Alyssa (Jareth) Schmuecker, Chelsey (Jeff) Zittergruen, and Taylor (Colin) Stoddard; five grandchildren, Elliette and Hayes Schmuecker, and Kinley, Cooper and Coen Zittergruen. Her brother, Brian “Opie” (Cindy) Kimm; her sister, Cheryl (Jeff) Housman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Beverly; brother, Craig “Skitz” Kimm; granddaughter, Kylee Zittergruen; nephew, Dustin Stoddard; and her in-laws, Helen and Jerome Stoddard.
