Cindy Lee Freiburger, 57, of Delhi, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Cindy was born Dec. 12, 1956, in Monticello, the daughter of William and Ella Mae (DeShaw) Wernimont. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1975.

Cindy was united in marriage to Dennis Freiburger on Dec. 13, 1975, in Monticello, Iowa. Three children were born to this union. Together they farmed in the Delhi area. Cindy had been employed at Palidin Attachments in Delhi.

Cindy was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was one who loved her family and enjoyed her friends, motorcycles and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Freiburger of Delhi; three children, Chevy (Maria) Freiburger of Altoona, Angie (Jay) Britt of Delhi and Heather (Chris Boudreau) Freiburger of Monticello; three grandchildren, Alex and Aspen Britt and Valentina Freiburger; her parents, William and Ella Mae Wernimont of Hopkinton; and two siblings, Brenda Wernimont of Cedar Rapids and Pat (Lou Schneider) Wernimont of Monticello.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at St. John's Catholic Church in Delhi with the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church where there will be an 8 p.m. Scripture service. Friends may also call beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment: St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Delhi.
