Cilek, Jocile M.
Jocile M. Cilek, 72, of Solon, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from a brief illness. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil. Brosh Chapel in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Jocile was born Feb. 19, 1937, the daughter of John and Alma Serbousek Stahle. She married David J. Cilek on Oct. 17, 1957, in Solon. Jocile worked at ACT for several years.
Jocile is survived by her husband, David; son, Douglas (Julie) Cilek of Solon; daughter, Kathy (Charles) Luchardt of Alamo, Calif.; five grandchildren; her brother, Sam (Diane) Stahle of Solon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial fund has been established in her name, 202 E. Elm St., Solon, IA 52333.
