Chuck Ordean Mathison, 70, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Jan., 27, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. There will be a celebration of Chuck's life from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2600 First Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids.
Chuck was born on Aug. 14, 1945, at Hayfield, Minn. Chuck enjoyed old cars and pickups. He loved taking day trips with Vicky. Chuck was a friend to all and a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky; children, Tina Pallman, Tonya Smith (John), Ryan Mathison, Corinnea (Mike), Caternia (Harold), Christina (Vince) and Chestina (Tim); siblings, Diane (Harry), Nancy, Nikie (Craig), Douglas (Gay), Julie (Arnold), Jenine, Kelly (Doug) and Jamie (Brian); and 17 grandchildren.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Lavonne Flood; father, Ordean Mathison; and brother, Denny.
Celebrate Life Iowa has been entrusted with Chuck's cremation care.
