Christopher Scott Lewis, 28, of Cedar Rapids, passed away surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital on Saturday, May 12, 2018, as a result of an accident.
Christopher was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., on March 26, 1990, the son of Daniel and Rebecca Lewis. He was a graduate of Metro High School in Cedar Rapids.
Chris is survived by his parents; his brother, Austin (Nina) Lewis; his fiancee, Harli Beshears; his grandparents, Marvelene Davis, Gordon and JoAnn Lewis; and his many beloved extended family and friends.
Chris worked for the Salvation Army at the time of his passing. He will be remembered as a fun-loving, curious young man with a big heart. He cared for those in need and always wanted to help. Recently during a major fire at his apartment, he was able to break open a door and save his neighbor. Christopher's passions were his love for animals, skateboarding and biking.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Jacqueline Davis of Waterloo.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, 4200 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 4420 Center Point Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids.
