Christner, Mildred O'Connor
Mildred O'Connor Christner passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City at the age of 87 years.
The daughter of Frank and Erma (Fisher) Kauffman, Mildred married Francis O'Connor. After his passing in 1991, she later married Joe Christner in 2001.
Mildred was a member of First Mennonite Church in Iowa City. She enjoyed quilting, bowling and collecting stamps.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at First Mennonite Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday. A time of fellowship will follow the service. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of arrangements.
