Christine Ellen Wolf, 64, of Solon, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, in her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Greeley Community Church, located at 212 E. Second St., Greeley, with burial to follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St.
Christine was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Manchester, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Whitehead) Seibert. She graduated from West Delaware High School in 1970 and the University of Northern Iowa, with a degree in education. Christine was united in marriage to George Wolf. Chris taught art at Central City High School, was a graphic artist for the Cedar Rapids Gazette and at Buckle Down Publishing in Iowa City. She enjoyed fishing, reading, volunteering, canning, cooking, sister weekends, her dog and most of all the time spent with her son, friends and family.
Christine is survived by her son, Cory Wolf (Angie Cole) of North Liberty; her stepsons, Roger (Anne) Wolf of Des Moines, Robert (Jen) Wolf of Holt, Mich., and Donald (Janet) Wolf of Lombard, Ill.; her mother, Dorothy Seibert of Manchester; her siblings, Mike (Karen) Seibert of Delhi, Linda (Bob) Lee, Jeff (Angie) Seibert, Kevin (Barb) Seibert, Al (Joyce) Seibert, Diane (Mario) Diaz and Liz (Paul) Heffernen, all of Manchester, and Joni Seibert of Delaware; and her nieces, nephews and extended family.
Christine was preceded in death by her father, Charles Seibert; and her grandparents, Ernest and Laura Seibert and Eugene and Edna Whitehead.
Memorials may be directed to the 109th Medical Battalion, Iowa Army National Guard in Iowa City.
