Christine C. Keeney, 76, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at the Villages at Marion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial to follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Christine was born Jan. 19, 1941, near Anamosa, (at home), to Herman T. and Ruth Michels Osterkamp. Christine graduated from Tipton High School in 1960. She was employed by Schutzs Brothers Dime Store and Buds Super Value in Tipton, as well as Quaker Oats (1974-2003) in Cedar Rapids. On June 16, 1963, she married Wayne Keeney at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tipton.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamera (Rod) Sayasit Crosser of Marion; stepson, Richard W. Keeney of Minnesota; grandchildren, Alex (Elisha) Sayasit of Marion and Denise Sayasit of Indianapolis, Ind.; stepgrandchildren, Courtney (Luke) Harden, Chelsea Keeney and Chloe Keeney; great-grandchildren, Amaris Davis, Jaxon Sayasit and Maddox Sayasit; stepgreat-grandchildren, Haven Harden, Parker Harden, Asa Harden, Ezra Harden and Carter Keeney; and siblings, Barb Wallig of Marion, Linda St. John of Stanwood, Lucille Shingledecker of Mount Vernon, Dennis (Mary) Osterkamp of Cedar Rapids, Betty (Almore) Taken of Cedar Rapids, Evelyn Grieser of Davenport and Belva (Lindsey) German of Clarion.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; son-in-law, Blake Sayasit; brother, Roy Osterkamp; and brother-in-law, Jim Wallig.
