Christiansen, Delores A.
Delores A. Christiansen, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Klein will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Pete; her children, Peter Christiansen and wife Angela of Marion, Buffi Christiansen of Cedar Rapids, Brett Christiansen of Marion, and Tiffany McQuerry and husband John of Marion; her grandchildren, Brittany Christiansen, PFC Blake Christiansen USMC, Ben Christiansen, Myles Christiansen and Caden and Cole McQuerry; her brothers, Ed Neff and wife Linda of Cedar Rapids, Terry Neff and wife Rosie of Cedar Rapids, and Al Neff of Marion; her sister, Bobbi Hajek and husband Dave of Cedar Rapids; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Delores was born Aug. 23, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Miles and Anna (Philipp) Neff. She attended Clarke College in Dubuque. She was united in marriage to Peter J. Christiansen on Oct. 31, 1964, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. She served as vice president and secretary of P & D Welding and Machine Company. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping and gambling. Above all, she enjoyed time spent with her beloved family. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the memorial fund established in her honor.
