Christensen, Cain
Cain Christensen, 35, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 6, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday before services.
Survivors include his mother and father; his five daughters, Kaitlyn Hayek of Souix City, Jennica Christensen of Cedar Rapids, Marissa Christensen of Fort Dodge, Kaia Cook of Cedar Rapids and Emalee Christensen of Waterloo; one grandchild, Alyssa; sister, Kelley (Steve) Aldrich of Cedar Rapids; and special friend, Melissa.
Cain was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim and Betty Christensen; maternal grandparents, Velma Jean Tudor and Cecil (Helen) McNelly; and his dog, Juice.
Cain was born Sept. 10, 1976, son of Scott (Kim) Christensen and Vickie (Jay) Pierce in Iowa City, Iowa. He enjoyed playing his Xbox, camping, fishing, volunteering at Jane Boyd, loved animals and kids, cooking and was very personable. Cain's greatest joy was being the best dad in the world. He aspired to be a piercing artist.
Memorials may be directed in Cain's memory to the Dupaco Credit Union.
