Chris (Yuva) Yousse Wright, 55, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Feb. 27, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family. A celebration of Chris's life will be April 26 at Five Seasons Mobile Home Court Club House, located at 3421 Blairsferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids from 1 to 5 p.m.
Chris was born April 25, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of John Yuva and John and Zona Mouchka. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1977.
Chris survived by her daughters, Jessica (John) White of Florida and Lori (Derrick) McClain of Georgia; four grandchildren, Autumn, Victoria, Matthew and Austin; sisters, Stacey Lynn Hutton of Florida, Jonnielee (Tim) Quigley of Cedar Rapids, Jerrie (Phillip) Pierce of Springville and Toni (Ty) White of Hiawatha; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Chris enjoyed her recent visits with her sisters and Ron and Kathleen (Hayes) Young and Donna (Filson) Rich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Yuva and Zona Mouchka.
Chris always put others first; she had a heart of gold. She loved being outside and was a do-it-yourself type of gal. Chris enjoyed going to the beach, hanging out, ice cold beer and watching her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt.
She will forever be missed.
