Chiaramonte, Michael David

Michael David Chiaramonte, 55, a resident of Hudson, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sept. 22, 2011, in Tampa, Fla., after a long illness.

He was born Dec. 16, 1955, the son of Norma (Soppe) Chiaramonte of Cedar Rapids and Joe Chiaramonte of McGregor.

He is survived by his daughters, Krystal Gaudig and Tiffany Chiaramonte of Hudson, Fla.; his mother and father; his brothers, Joe (Sharon) Chiaramonte Jr. of Marion, David (Sharon) Chiaramonte of Spring Hill, Fla.; his sisters, Ann (Mike) Herzberger of Cedar Rapids, Lyn Chiaramonte of Cedar Rapids, Gail Chiaramonte of Des Moines, Jane Chiaramonte of Cedar Rapids, Dina (Mike) Fox of Cedar Rapids and Toni (Tony) Kautz of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael David Jr.

Michael served in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed carpenter.

He was an avid hunter, loved fishing and enjoyed telling a good story. He lived his life to the fullest and he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Scotus Hall, Immaculate Conception Church, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27.
