Cheri Louise Crisp, 80, of Menifee, California and Tipton, Iowa, quietly took her last breath on January 23, 2024 while sleeping in her own bed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 6 at 11:00 am at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Kerri Sandusky officiating, with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund to Shriners Hospital has been created in her honor.
Cheri was born on October 12, 1943 and was the daughter of Calvin Moore and Ellen Lehr Moore. Cheri graduated from Tipton High School in 1962.
Cheri was united in marriage to Elias ‘Bud’ Carr Crisp and they were looking forward to 47 years of marriage on March 18, 2024. Cheri and Bud are residents of Menifee, California and Tipton, Iowa.
After working in the construction industry for a number of years, she decided to enroll in school to study Federal and State Tax Laws. In 1987 after graduating, she decided to start her own business which became CL Crisp Account and Tax Associates. Cheri was highly successful and respected and ran her company for 32 years.
Cheri is survived by her husband, Bud Crisp, of Menifee, California, her two sons, Bart (Lisa) Miller of Clarence and Darren (Ann) Miller of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Ashley (Jazz) Carreon, Melissa (Charles) Jackson, Brittney (Jordan) Kintzel, Kyle Miller and AJ Miller, plus 6 great-grandchildren.
Cheri is also survived by her and Bud’s adopted family in Menifee, California who are Dave and Karen Bradshaw and their children, Krystal (Brandon) Edmonds, Mat and Gabby Bradshaw, and Steven Bradshaw and Sara Flores, plus two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Ellen Moore, and her brother, Douglas Moore.
