Charmain "Dorrie" Fields-Armstrong, 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at her home. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Monica (Mike Hildenbrand) Fawcett; grandchildren, Jonathan, Nicholas, Nathan and Joslyn; siblings, Tina (Larry) Harness, Harry (Sharon) Fields, Casondra (Kevin) Johnson, Debi (Tony) Fawcett and George (Michelle) Fields; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; very special friend, Jo Marie Butz; and her beloved cat, Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna Marie Smith; and two brothers, Duke and Randy Fields.
Dorrie was born Feb. 5, 1960, the daughter of Douglas and Esther (Jorgensen) Fields Sr. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her daughter was her best friend and she adored her grandchildren. Dorrie enjoyed helping others, crocheting, and loved singing and playing the guitar.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
