Charlotte R. Kephart, 76, of Anamosa, passed away December 30, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center ICU in Cedar Rapids, IA from complications of Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, IA. Private graveside service will follow.
Charlotte was born March 28, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Charlotte worked in various retail and service careers while raising her wonderful children. She was employed by Priority Express until her retirement.
Charlotte enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering, collecting cookbooks and reading Amish novels. Her special talent was creating unique greeting cards from scratch. She especially enjoyed her Shih Tzu’s, her home, fishing, and spending the summer at a cabin on the Mississippi River. Charlotte was a loving, talented, selfless, Christian woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Charlotte is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Ralph W. Kephart of Anamosa, sister Phyllis (Bob) Stevens of Cedar Rapids, IA, three children, Larry (Cindy) Null of Bricelyn, MN, Tracey (Mike) Taylor of Center Point, IA, Kevin (Brenda) Boots of Newport, NC, three stepchildren, Randall (Tabitha) Chase of Marion, IA, Jason Kephart of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ryan Kephart of Marion, IA, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nettie Reed and brother, Warren Reed.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in her name.
