Charlotte M. Machacek, 97, of Wheaton, Ill., formerly of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Anthology of Wheaton Memory Care. A Vigil Service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, where a visitation will follow until 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating. Burial will take place at Lafayette Cemetery in rural Alburnett, Iowa. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
