Charlotte J. Eldred, 79, of Urbana, Iowa, died Friday, April 2, 2021. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point, Iowa. A private funeral Mass will be held. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Spencers Grove, Iowa. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Charlotte was born on March 15, 1942, in Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Irene (Mahoney) Zieser. She graduated from Urbana High School and went on to obtain her nursing degree from the Mercy School of Nursing in 1963. Charlotte was united in marriage to Charles Eldred on April 11, 1964, in rural Urbana. She worked as a nurse for the Urbana-Center Point Community School District, until her retirement in 2000.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Charles Eldred; children, Craig (Dianne) Eldred, Christine (Marty) Parbs, Calvin (Christi) Eldred, Cheryl (Christopher) Wells, Curtis (Kelly) Eldred and Chad (Christie) Eldred; grandchildren, Matthew (Jaime) Eldred, Kelsey Eldred, Kasey Parbs, Hannah Parbs, Calvin John "CJ" Eldred, Luke (Megan) Eldred, Emily Eldred, Abigail Eldred, Hollee Eldred, Elizabeth (Joe) Weisgerber, Zachary Wells, Nicholas Wells, Carter Eldred, Makayla Eldred and Daniel Eldred; great-grandchildren, Addison and Sloan; brother, Dennis (Monica) Zieser; and sisters, Janet (Kenneth) Nie and Marilyn Schaffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Irene Zieser; grandparents; sister, Mary JoAnn; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Eldred and Roman Schaffer.

Memorials may be directed to the Meth-Wick Community in Cedar Rapids or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana.
