Charles Robert Siek, 89, of Blairstown, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, after a brief illness. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Blairstown American Legion Hall, where family will greet visitors after 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Martina (Morrison Lawrence) of Blairstown; sisters, Sally Riggert of Waterloo and Mary (Eldon) Bridgewater of Watkins; daughter, Bobbi Siek of Clovis, Calif.; son, William "Bill" Siek of Iowa City; stepchildren, Gerald (Kathleen) Morrison of Marion, Theresa (Robert) Dugan of Jenks, Okla., Michele Lloyd of Marion, Kevin (Avis) Morrison of Cedar Rapids and Karen (Tom) Howell of Central City; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Hilda (Boddicker) Siek.
The family is grateful to Hospice of Mercy for their generous and compassionate assistance during Chuck's final days, and the M.J. Kirby Post of American Legion for their service.
Memorials may be directed to the family. Iowa Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
