Charles W. Rasley, 88, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, Ill.
Charles was born July 17, 1926, in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa.
Charles retired as a colonel from the United States Air Force. He was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veteran. He served his country continuously for over 38 years.
He was a previous owner of Eagle Stamp and Coin; a stamp, coin and sports memorabilia collector and enthusiast.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Men's Club and Knights of Columbus and a St. Louis Cardinals fanatic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence (nee Inman) Rasley; wife, Sue (nee Jordan) Rasley; and his first wife, Betty Ann Rasley.
Surviving are his children, Cynthia Ann Kurtak and Don Nanney of Edwardsville, Ill., Sherry Kae and Steve Mahieu of Albuquerque, N.M., Cynthia Ann and Michael McQuillan of Millstadt, Ill., James Jordan and Buffy McKinney of Daytona Beach, Fla., Shari Lynn and Timothy Trelow of O'Fallon, Ill., Craig Phillip and Lynn McKinney of Fairview Heights, Ill., Jeanne Elizabeth and Scott Slauson of Waterford, Wis., and Kristopher William Rasley of Belleville, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, March 23, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon, IL 62269. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m., with Monsignor William Hitpas officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
