CHARLES "MIKE" STEPHEN O'DEEN

Charles "Mike" Stephen O'Deen, CLU, ChFC, 66, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a cerebral hemorrhage. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor, where he formerly served as board president and member of the board of trustees, and the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Mike was a life-long entrepreneur and a natural leader. He was happiest watching his children play their respective sports, hiking in Arizona and traveling with his family. He always entered a room by telling a joke or relaying an interesting story to make the people around him smile. He was deeply loved and respected and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
Mike is survived by his wife, Amy; and their children, Allison, 27, (Adam) Woroniecki of Omaha and Ryan, 25, (Abby) O'Deen of North Liberty; and his brother, John (Kaye) O'Deen of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karen Peterson; and his brother, Stephen O'Deen.
