Charles Verne "Chuck" Loth, 69, of Anamosa, passed away at home Wednesday night, Aug. 20, 2014, following a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Laurie Riley. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughters, Patti Loth, Pam (James) Porter and Sherrie (Paul) Collins; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; girlfriend and dear friend, Theresa Heginger; adopted daughter, Ashley, and her daughters, Alexis and Anna; siblings, Vi Benicke, Gracie (Roger) Lee and Marilyn (Garlan) Polus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; and siblings, Larry Loth, Stella Carroll and Leona Glubka.
Chuck was born Feb. 18, 1945, in Winona, Minn., son of Oscar and Helen (Paul) Loth. He worked for Cherry Burrell and Evergreen for 37 years until he retired from there.
After retirement, he fell in love with karaoke and had many followers. Chuck was a proud member of the Union. He loved camping, was an avid Hawkeye fan and had a large Elvis and Mickey Mouse collection.
In lieu of flowers, me-morials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
