Charles L. "Chuck" Knight, 92, of Coulter, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Grand JiVante Nursing Home in Ackley surrounded by his loving family. A graveside visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memorial Lawn Garden, Cedar Rapids, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, with graveside services beginning at 11 a.m.
Charles was born July 6, 1925, the son of Ernest and Della (Townsend) Knight. Charles loved to spend time outdoors with his dogs fishing, camping and hunting. He worked at Cedar Rapids Hide & Fur until his retirement in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents; significant other, Wilma Rich; three sons, Charles, Robert and Kenneth; Cleo (former spouse); three grandsons; and seven siblings.
Left to cherish Charles' memories are his grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Bos, Mike (Karen) Knight, Kasey (Eric) Knight-Day, Chuck (Amanda) Knight, Josh (Pam) Knight and Joanna (Scott) Knight; three daughters-in-law; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
