Charles John Miller Jr., 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. There will be no services. Private burial. Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Charles is survived by his wife, June; daughter, Juli Anne Miller of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Charles was born on Oct. 27, 1931, in Cedar Rapids the son of Charles and Elva Mae Roser Miller. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1950. Charles served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. On July 26, 1958, he married Dolores June Hartwig in Iowa City. He worked at Wilson Food Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed fishing, Iowa Hawkeye men’s and women’s sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
