Charles R. Hough Jr., 77, of Central City, Iowa, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at a later date at St. John's Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Charles was born June 5, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ollie (Hinds) and Charles Richard Hough Sr. After his graduation from Jefferson High School, Charles moved to the country where he dairy farmed for the rest of his life. Charles was united in marriage to Darlene Sova on Oct. 28, 1967, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church. He was a loving husband and a great father. Charles will be missed very much.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Hough of Central City; and son, David Hough of Central City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother who died at birth; Uncle Emery; and in-laws, Leo and Agnes Sova.
