Charles Eugene Netolicky, 93, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at The Views of Marion. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Brosh Chapel. Burial will be at Czech National Cemetery.
Charles was born on May 28, 1931, at home near Fairfax, the son of Charles and Hermina (Naxera) Netolicky. He graduated from Cedar Rapids McKinley High School, class of 1950. Charles was married to Sondra Sue White from 1956 – 1973. To this union they raised four children. Charles was later united in marriage to Clara Guthrie on April 11, 1981, in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a draftsman at Square D for over thirty-two years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, fishing, traveling, swimming, taking many photos and most of all spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Clara Netolicky; his children Jerry Netolicky, Scott (Kris) Netolicky, Diane (Chuck) Hensley and Tom (Sara) Netolicky; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his nephew Leo Rigel, and his nieces Sharon Rigel and Margie Rigel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Ann Marie, his granddaughter Tanya Netolicky, his sister Hermina (Marvin) Rigel, and his niece Karen Vrba.
Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or to SOKOL in his name.
