Charles "Chuck" R. Schaffer, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly in his home on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016.
The family is planning a luncheon at St. Ludmila Church, 2107 J St. SW, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, to gather and remember our father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Surviving are his two daughters, Chris (Nelson) Smalley and Kelly Cryder; sister, Patricia (Jobie) Atwater; three stepsons, Rocky, Jeff and Brad Wicher; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a lifelong mechanic, working and co-owning Fox Garage back in the day and eventually retiring from Clayt's Auto Service.
Daddy "Chuck" was loved and will be missed greatly.
