Charles "Chuck" Ray Ledger, 76, of Belle Plaine, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, at his home. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service in Belle Plaine.

Chuck was born in rural Benton County on March 11, 1941, the son of Fred and Elva (Moore) Ledger. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School. On May 19, 1962, Chuck married Arlene Duchacek. For more than 20 years, he worked as a lineman for Iowa Electric. He retired in 1996.
Chuck enjoyed the good things in life, fishing, NASCAR, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and golfing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Ledger of Belle Plaine; sons, Randy (Sharon) Ledger of New London and Rod (Kelly) Ledger of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; daughter, Robyn (Tim Kirkes) Ledger of Keystone; grandbabies, Kelsey (Erin) McFadden, Kadi (Jake Wieser) Ledger, Ross Ledger, Jake Pickart, Peyton Pickart and Kennedy Pickart; sister, Janette Thiessen; and sister-in-law, Irene (Dee) Ledger.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald; and nephew, Rick.
