CHARLES "CHUCK" E. BAIRD
Cedar Rapids
Charles "Chuck" E. Baird, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, West Liberty.
Chuck is survived by his significant other, Cathey Knight; children, Lyle Baird and Kathryn Baird; stepchildren, Charles F. (Amanda) Knight, JoAnna Knight and Kristy Baird; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson, all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Baird; and sister, Karen Baird.
Chuck was born March 5, 1949, the son of James and Shirley (Rhinehart) Baird. He was a plumber and had worked at several businesses prior to the last 15 years with Roto Rooter.
Chuck enjoyed fishing, car races, puzzle books and watching wrestling.
