Charlene Sue Clothier, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Evergreen Estates II in Cedar Rapids. The f
amily will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 10,
at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Springville Cemetery, Springville. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
Charlene was born Jan. 13, 1956, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Frances (Kirby) Lange. She graduated from Springville High School. Charlene was employed at Goodwill Industries and Rockwell in Cedar Rapids. She loved attending family events and gatherings. Charlene also enjoyed playing cards, doing arts and crafts, and other activities with her Evergreen family. She was known as a very giving person. Charlene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Curtis Cummings of Lisbon, Iowa; daughter, Cari (Russ) Neault of Auburn, Calif.; three grandchildren, Gracie, Landon and Roman; her siblings, Michael Lange of Springville, Jean (Wayne) Schilling of Springville, Glenn "Chuck" (Vicky) Lange of Springville, Patrick Lange of Springville, Karla (Kevin) Barnes of Anamosa, Iowa, Kim Cairns (Brian Holub) of Cedar Rapids and Denise Lange (Kevin Schissel) of Martelle; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Dorothy Lange.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charlene's memory may be directed to the family.
