Chapel, Earnestine B. (Langton)
Earnestine B. (Langton) Chapel, 86, passed away Dec. 22, 2012, after an extended illness at her home in Alta Loma, Calif. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Earnestine was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Palo, Iowa, the only daughter to Roy and Hazel Langton.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her two daughters, Penny Chapel of Calimesa, Calif., and Judith Schultz of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Chapel; son, Robert; and three brothers, Howard, Glen and Lee Langton.
She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bunco and bingo with the neighbors.
Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
