CHANCE RUKAKIZA

Chance Rukakiza, 11, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the University of
Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, at the King of Glory International Church, 921 Third Ave., Iowa City. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
A memorial fund has been established in Chance's memory.

Chance was born Sept. 26, 2002, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His family moved to Iowa City where he attended Grant Wood Elementary and was in the sixth grade at Mark Twain Elementary.
His family includes his parents, John Rukakiza and Leoncia Baby; and his siblings, Muzurikwao, Aminatha, Vanlencia,
Brigitte and Sarrive.
