Chad J Aldinger, 54, died suddenly on March 15, 2025.
Services and reception will be held Thursday, March 20 from 5-8 PM at VFW Lodge 128, 3rd Ave. NE, Independence, Iowa 50644. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Boys and Girls Club of the Cedar Valley (https://

Chad Aldinger was born on December 24, 1970 in Clarion, Iowa to Jack and Felice Aldinger (Norman). He graduated from Independence High School in 1990.
Chad enjoyed anything and everything that had to do with the outdoors. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, and just hanging out with his friends and their kids. He enjoyed his time working at the Heart of Darkness where he was able to expand on his creative skills building sets and painting murals. He also spent time equipping his vehicles for camping and other activities.
Chad was always looking for ways to help those less fortunate than himself. He always talked about buying meals for the homeless at a camp near him on payday. He also made donations to the Boys and Girls Club on several occasions. During one account he and his friend bought gear for skating for the kids and took them out to use it.
Chad is survived by his father Jack, his sister Angelique (Robert) Malkentzos, his nephew Nicholas, and niece Annabelle. He was preceded in death by his mother Felice and wife Patricia (Rowan). Chad also lives on through his relationships and memories of time with his coworkers at ADS and his friends Allan, Emily, Ken, “Little” Chad, Doug, Wade and many others.
