Celene M. Jones, 77, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the St. Luke’s Transitional Care Center, Cedar Rapids.
Celene was born on July 12, 1947 in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Victor and Antoinette (Rottell) Menzer.
She graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On April 28, 1973 she married Jan Arden Jones at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan.
Celene worked as a banker for many years and retired in 1989. During retirement she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and womens bible study at church and spending time with family. She and her husband enjoyed the numerous Bible Studies in their home over the years and had many young adult groups as well.
Celene enjoyed spending time with friends and going to lunch with them often. In her later years she and Jan loved to spend time outside and with their children and grandchildren. Celene loved Jesus and telling everyone she could about Him. This was the passion of her life along with her family.
Celene is survived by her daughter Diane (Steven) Frakes of Florence, KY; her son, Darrick (Amy) Jones of Atkins, Iowa; six grandchildren, Joshua Terrien, Adam (Kara) Frakes, Sarah (Keith) Dixon, Abigail, David and Samuel Jones; four great grandchildren; two siblings Tony and Vicki Menzer.
Celene was preceded in death by husband Jan Jones; daughter Dawn Jones, both of Sheboygan.
No services have been planned at this time. Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Celene and her family.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a charity of their choosing in Celene’s name.
