Cathy A. Evans, 62, of Tipton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
Memorials may be made to the Cathy Evans Memorial Fund.

Cathy Ann Halstead was born Jan. 10, 1955, in Iowa City, daughter of Jim and Mary (Henderson) Halstead. On Sept. 3, 1975, she married Stanley "Jody" Evans in Iowa City. Cathy had a long and dedicated career with University of Iowa Hospitals, working in housekeeping.
She was a devoted and proud mother and wife, and always was looking out for others. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, shopping and especially enjoyed the holidays and her collection of snowmen.
Her family includes her husband, Jody; daughters, Heather Schott (Wesley) of rural Tipton and Hannah Greear (Aaron) of Cedar Rapids; mother, Mary of Iowa City; siblings, Gene Halstead, Connie Halstead and Barb Amlong (Scott); as well as Jody's family and extended relatives.
