Catherine C. Willwerth, 89, of Jesup and Fairbank, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living, Independence. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 27, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with inurnment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation continues for one hour before services Friday at the church. Memorials will be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and Prairie Hills Assisted Living. She is survived by five daughters, Rebecca (James F.) Hogan of Monticello, Donna (Earl) Michell of Manchester, Evelyn Willwerth of Waterloo, Helen (Jay) Proffitt of Solon and Patty (Ken) Collins of Center Point; two sons, Andy (Cris) Willwerth of Fairbank and Tom (Deb) Willwerth of Sabula; also 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Her parents; husband, Donald; one granddaughter, Angela Hogan; three brothers, Tony, Chuck and Francis (in infancy); and three sisters, Joan, Ann and Mary, preceded her in death.
