Catherine L. Manson, 94, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family. All guests are respectfully required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Catherine was born July 16, 1926, in Dundee, Iowa, the daughter of Cole and Alice (Battin) Sedgwick. She graduated with the Dundee High School Class of 1943. On April 4, 1970, Catherine was united in marriage to James Manson in Independence, Iowa. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Catherine was a member of the United Methodist Church and Crescent Rebekah Lodge for 40 years.
Catherine's family includes her two sons, Stephen Henderson of Hiawatha, Iowa, and Nick Manson of Des Moines, Iowa; her grandchildren; and brother, Clarence Sedgwick of Dundee, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cole and Alice Sedgewick; husband, Jim Manson; two daughters, Patricia Mefford and Judith Henderson; and brother, Charles Sedgwick.
