Catherine Joyce (Rudd) Jackson, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at her home. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
Catherine was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the daughter of Loris “Bill” and Ona “Angeline” (Herteen) Rudd. She graduated from Davis County High School in 1969. Catherine was united in marriage to Stephen “Jet” Jackson in April of 1973. She worked at Rockwell Collins in keypunch and moved her way up to a trainer which took her all over the world for work. She loved crafts, quilting, and was an excellent cook. Catherine will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Steve “Jet” Jackson of Cedar Rapids; sons, Spencer Jackson of Walford, Iowa, and Seth Jackson of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Crystal, Hannah, Matthew, Emma, Reese, Kaitlyn, Jillian, and Slater; sisters, June Rudd and Connie (Robert) Peck, all of Ottumwa, Iowa; brothers, Danny Rudd of Ely, Iowa, Gerald Rudd of Ottumwa, Derald (Linda) Rudd of Springfield, Mo., Gary (Sheila) Rudd of Drakesville, Iowa, and Larry (Shirley) Rudd of Drakesville.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harlan, Harold, Richard, and Orville Dean Rudd; infant sister, Mary Rudd; and sisters-in-law, Patty, and Marcia Rudd.
