CATHERINE CHALUPSKY ABBEY

Catherine Chalupsky Abbey, of Tucson, Ariz., joined her dad, LaVerne, on July 16, 2018, after a brief illness.
Cathy was born Jan. 16, 1955, at Chanute Air Base, Rantoul, Ill., to LaVerne and Mary (Griffith) Chalupsky. Cathy graduated from Prairie High (Class of '73) and Young's Cosmetology College.
Cathy had an exceptional career working for Lefemme Coiffure, Armstrong's and Sears Salons. In Little Rock, she was known as doing "Hair for the Stars," creating hair extensions and styles for Matrix Hair Fashion Shows. She truly enjoyed all her clients and had a grand passion and immeasurable skill for hair design. Cathy owned and operated her own business for over 40 years.
Her grandparents, father, brother-in-law and nephew preceded Cathy in death.
She is survived by her husband, Dana; mother, Mary; siblings, Teresa Kaplan, David Chalupsky (Terrie), Patricia Chalupsky (Chuck), Andy Chalupsky (Carla) and Ed Chalupsky (Maria); nephews, Andy, Wil and Dan; niece, Caitlin; and baby dogs, Hansel, Gretel and Nicky.
