CATHERINE ALTON

Catherine Alton, 100, of Rancho Murieta, Calif., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones.
Catherine Andrle was born Sept. 21, 1914, in North Liberty, Iowa. In 1932, she married her childhood sweetheart, the late John Thomas Alton. In 1941, the two boldly moved out to California, where Catherine worked in a war plant. Catherine then devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by many beloved family members, including her two children, Jackie (Michael) Flannigan of Rancho Murieta and Tim (Joan) Alton of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Private memorial services will be conducted at Mount Vernon Mortuary in Sacramento.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
Catherine's family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Sutter General Hospital for their loving care of our mother and grandmother.
