Cassandra "Sam" Wanette Burns, 49, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on March 2, 2021. Sam was born on Sept. 8, 1971, in Dallas, Texas. Sam lived big and loved big. She was survived by her three children, Dakota (23), Brittany (20), and Brandon (14); her mother, Wendy; her brother, Steve, and his wife, Audra; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and baby brother, John Richard.
There will be a memorial service at
11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, with a visitation at 10 a.m. All services will be held at Cedar Rapids First Assembly, 3233 Blairs Ferry Rd., Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. Please enter through door three.
