Cassandra Mae "Cassie" Rieken, 8, of Monticello, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Monticello.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 Friday morning, March 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello. Friends may call at the church from 4 to 8 Thursday evening, March 16, and after 9:30 Friday morning at the church. A vigil service will begin at 4 Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. The Rev. Paul C. Baldwin will officiate.

Cassie is survived by her parents; twin sisters, Lorelei and Miranda; grandparents, Pat Rieken, Monticello, Bill (Candace) Rieken, Marion, and Alex and Shirley Devereux, Marion; aunts and uncles, Brenda (Chris) Omar, Nancy (Mark) Brecht, Paul Devereux, Joan (Craig) Boche, Colleen (Chad) Hefke and Mary Lou (Jeremy) Meyer; cousins, Luke Knipper, Tamara, Madilyn and Jackson Omar, Michael (Helen) and Erin Brecht, Alex, Emmy and Ashlee Devereux, Paige and Marshall Boche, Delaney, Vince, Anna and Logan Hefke and Liam Meyer.
Cassandra Mae Rieken was born Jan. 30, 2009, to Mark and Christine (Devereux) Rieken of Monticello, where she was a second grader at Sacred Heart Catholic School.
Cassie loved to play outside with her sisters, listen to music and watch Disney movies. She gave the best hugs in the world and was a beautiful soul. She always cared about everyone else's feelings first. Some of her favorite things were Pooh Bear, chocolate, ice cream, popcorn and pancakes for breakfast.
Cassie will be greatly missed.
