Carter, Carollyn A.
Carollyn A. Carter, 77, of 2222 First Ave. NE, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital after a sudden illness. Per Carollyn's request there will be no service or visitation. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors includes two sons, Larre of Toddville and Eric of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Gina Gifford of St. Joseph, Mo.; and a sister, Tyanne. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Carollyn was born March 19, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Carroll and Mary Ann (Pitts) Hasley. She married Elmer L. Carter on Oct. 4, 1952, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died in 2006. Carollyn was a homemaker.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
